The short answer
Yes. If you or your family are moving to Colorado and want to do the apartment search in Spanish, you can work with a bilingual locator before you arrive. I cover the Denver metro area (Denver, Aurora, Lakewood and the suburbs). Tours happen by video, paperwork happens online, and it is free to you because the apartment community pays the locator after you sign. I do not cover Colorado Springs, Fort Collins or the mountain towns.
Why people ask for this
Moving states is stressful enough without a lease you cannot fully read. A Spanish-speaking locator can walk a spouse, parent or relative through the paperwork in the language they are comfortable in, while the person with the job offer handles the work side. Both can be on the same video call.
How a remote move works, step by step
1. Tell me your situation. Budget, move date, where you work, pets, and who is moving. A short text or WhatsApp message is enough.
2. I shortlist 3 to 5 communities that fit, with current prices and any move-in specials.
3. Video tours. I tour the unit live on FaceTime or WhatsApp video so you can ask questions in real time.
4. Apply online. Most communities take applications online. Have your ID, income proof and, if you have one, your ITIN ready.
5. Sign and plan the move. Get the total move-in cost in writing, including deposit and fees, before you pay anything.
Start 4 to 6 weeks before your move date. More in the out-of-state checklist.
Protect yourself from rental scams
Never send a deposit by wire, gift card or app to someone you have not verified, and never pay for a unit you have not seen live or on video. Confirm the listing on the community's own website, and pay only through the leasing office's official portal.
What it costs to rent
In early October 2026 the median advertised one-bedroom across the metro was about $1,980 a month, and Aurora was about $1,690 (full rent numbers). About 7 in 10 communities were advertising move-in specials (specials by area).

Frequently asked questions
Is there a Spanish-speaking apartment locator in Colorado?
Yes. Denver Apt Pro and Mi Apartamento Nuevo are run by Juan David Rodriguez, who works in English and Spanish and covers the Denver metro area.
Can I rent a Colorado apartment before I move?
Usually yes. Most communities do live video tours and online applications. Start 4 to 6 weeks before your move date, and get the total move-in cost in writing before you pay.
Does the locator cover all of Colorado?
No. I cover the Denver metro area: Denver, Aurora, Lakewood and nearby suburbs. I do not cover Colorado Springs, Fort Collins or the mountain towns.
Does it cost anything to use a locator?
No. The apartment community pays the locator after you sign, so it is free to you. Approval is always the community's decision.
Can I rent with an ITIN instead of a Social Security number?
Some communities accept an ITIN and some do not, and some ask for a higher deposit or a co-signer. I ask before you pay an application fee.
Can a family member in another state do the search for me?
Yes. A spouse or parent can join the video calls and review the paperwork with you in Spanish. The person named on the lease still has to apply and sign.
