In-unit washer/dryer is the single biggest quality-of-life upgrade you can ask for in a Denver apartment. The good news: most newer construction (built 2010+) includes it standard. The bad news: many older buildings (1970s-90s) have community laundry or hookups-only.

Newer construction (2010+): Almost always included. Includes RiNo, LoDo, Highlands, much of Aurora Stapleton, Downtown Westminster, Belmar/Lakewood, Olde Town Arvada.
Renovated older buildings: 50-70% have added W/D during renovations. Common in Capitol Hill, Five Points, Lakewood.
Older unrenovated buildings: 20-30% have W/D in unit; the rest have community laundry. Common in Northglenn, Federal Heights, Aurora central.
Most Denver apartment W/D installations are stackable units in a closet. Side-by-side is rarer and usually only in larger 2BR+ units or premium buildings. If you need full-size or care about capacity, ask specifically.
Some Denver buildings have washer/dryer hookups but no machines provided — meaning you'd buy/rent your own. This is fine if you're moving from a house with machines, but worth knowing upfront. Hookup-only is sometimes called 'W/D connections' on listings.
